About

Made to be heirlooms.

SOWN create beautiful garments and textiles from vintage, second hand and otherwise forgotten fabrics. These are crafted slowly and carefully by hand, using age-old home sewing practices like patchwork, quilting and mending. Every piece is unique with a story to tell - made to be worn, mended, treasured and eventually handed on.

Our fabrics are sourced from car boot sales, charity and secondhand shops, unused collections from fellow fabric-lovers, off-cuts and the odd remnant or two. SOWN aim to honour the skill and craft of the people who grew and harvested the cotton and flax, weaved, dyed, embroidered and printed the materials by making sure their hard work doesn’t go to waste. SOWN try to be considerate of Mother Earth and using her limited resources wisely. We don’t use clothing or homewares which are still usable and useful - planet first, always. Our packaging is either compostable or fully recyclable.
