Collarless Chore Jacket - Blanket
Collarless Chore Jacket - Blanket
Collarless Chore Jacket with patch pockets made mainly from an amazing vintage woven blanket. This wonderful blanket (we think from Central America) had some areas of damage but careful cutting and sashiko stitching is giving it new life. The jacket includes checked pocket linings and binding made of off-cuts from one of my favourite designers Faith Rowan Leeves. The jacket is quilted with 50% wool 50% cotton wadding and lined in vintage Laura Ashley and printed Indonesian cotton. Fully reversible - two jackets in one. Hand finished with sashiko stitching and bound edges.
All wear, tear and idiosyncrasies are part of this unique garment and its history. Fabrics are washed before sewing but some dyes may not be completely colour fast so we recommend hand wash cold or dry clean.
